"A Lot Of Musicians Can Play This..., But Don't Know How To Teach It"

How does all of this talk of secrets relate to what I am trying to tell you?

When you are listening to music that you like, notice how much sound is going on.

Is everything that you hear in the music actually happening, or is your ear playing tricks on you?

To answer your question in brief, your ear is playing tricks on you.

What is a shell chord?
